2. The students do get to handle and look at Hedgeetta. They use rubber coated gloves and a towel when they hold her. Mrs. Bruner can handle Hedgeetta without gloves. If hedgies are familiar with your smell they will lay their spines close to their bodies. This will let you hold and touch them without getting pricked.
