Lunch with Jan Brett on the Tour Bus Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”)
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
How to Enter:
1. To enter the Sweepstakes, just go to www.janbrett.com and submit your entry
by fully completing the entry form. Sweepstakes begins on July 23rd, 2007, 12:00
a.m. EDT. Entries may be sent via this web page only and must be received by
October 1st, 2007 11:59 p.m. EDT. Winner will be announced on
www.janbrett.com on October 2nd, 2007.
2. Entries are void if they are in whole or in part illegible, incomplete, or
damaged. No responsibility is assumed for late, lost, damaged, incomplete,
illegible, or misdirected entries.
3. Sponsors, their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agencies, are not
responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any
kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete,
inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the sender,
or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this
Sweepstakes which may limit the ability to play or participate, or by any human
error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes. If
for any reason the online portion of the Sweepstakes is not capable of being
conducted as described in these rules, Sponsors shall have the right, in their
sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the
event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed
submitted by the authorized holder of the e-mail account
Random Drawing:
From all correct eligible entries received, the winners will be selected in a random
drawing that will be held on October 2nd, 2007, by Sponsors. Sponsors’
decisions concerning all matters related to this Sweepstakes are final. The
winners will be notified by mail.
Prizes:
The grand-prize winner along with three friends of their choosing will be invited to join Jan Brett on her tour bus for lunch at a time and place on the book tour that is mutually convenient. 2nd to 100th prize winners will receive
designer tote bags created with the book jacket artwork from
The Three Snow Bears. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. There is a limit of one prize per person, household, or family.
Eligibility:
Sweepstakes is not open to employees, and members of their immediate families living in the same household, of Sponsors, Penguin Group (USA) Inc., their parents, subsidiaries,
and affiliates, and advertising, promotion, and production agencies. Void where prohibited by law.
General:
1. No cash substitutions, transfers or assignments of prizes allowed, except by
Sponsors who reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value in
the event of unavailability.
2. By accepting prize, winners grant to Sponsors the right to use his/her name,
likeness, hometown, and biographical information in advertising and promotion in
all media without further compensation or permission, including on the Sponsors’
web sites, except where prohibited by law.
3. By accepting a prize, winners release Sponsors, their publishers, parents,
subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, and agents from any and all liability for
any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense, including without limitation property
damage, personal injury and/or death, arising out of or relating to the
participation in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use or misuse of the prize.
4. Winners acknowledge that Sponsors and all other companies concerned with this
sweepstakes and their agents do not make, nor are in any manner responsible for,
any warranty, representations, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative
to the quality, conditions or fitness of any aspects of the prizes.
5. Any dispute arising from this Sweepstakes will be construed, interpreted, and
governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without reference to its conflict
of law principles, and the entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of the
State and Federal Courts located in Massachusetts and agree that such courts
have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
